Weekly news.

House fire that killed three children has now been deemed as Targeted attack.

The three children Demi who was 14, Brandon who was 8 and Lacie who was 7 years old are dead and Lia who is 3 and Michelle the mother are in hospital.

Six different people who haven't been named yet have been arrested on suspicion of murder due to cctv footage they have seen.

This is what one officer has said about the incident so far.

"We now have a much deeper understanding of the devastating events which lead to the tragic deaths," he said.
Ch Supt Miller said relatives of the family have been left "completely devastated".
"The loss of a child in any circumstance is unthinkable, to lose three in such deplorable circumstances words cannot describe.
"My heart breaks for them, it really does.
"We're doing all that we can to get them the answers they quite rightly deserve."
Apparently two men were arrested and have been released on bail. I don't think is right because three innocent children have died which is horrific and is causing lots of pain and suffering to lots of people so i think everyone that was involved starting that fire should be sent to prison.
Schools have been paying tributes to the 3 children lost in the fire and have said that everyone is truly devastated. I think it is nice for the schools to pay tributes to the victims as there isn't much else anyone can do when someone dies and they are helping and supporting the family as much as they can and the officers are doing everything they can in the investigation to bring justice to the victims.

Audiences.

Audiences.

An audience to me is a group of people of watch or get a product and say what they think and feel about the product. Without a producer to bring out something then an audience wouldn't be a thing, however producers need audiences to get feedback and opinions on products to make them better and move forward. I think producers and audiences are equally as important to each other. Without audiences producers would fail unless they are really lucky because they wouldn't have any feedback and for future products they could be making the same mistakes that people don't like which would put people of from buying that product.

Target audience is when a producer will make a product that will specifically benefit someone that fits the criteria of the product. For example speakers and headphones are targeted at people who enjoy music and wouldn't be very useful to someone who doesn't like music. Another example would be advent calendars as they are targeted for people under the age of 25.

Having a target audience is important because releasing a product to a set group of people will probably make more sales than having a product that is available to everyone. I think this because a product made for a group of people for example males around the age of 30 will sell more as a 30 year old male will look at it and think "this is aimed for me I should probably get this" compared to a product that doesn't have a target audience and some people may think "that product isn't aimed at me I don't need it".

In conclusion, I think that audiences are a necessity in order for producers to do well and without them the product would be pretty useless because no one would buy it. I couldn't find anything on audience positioning so i couldn't write about that.

Weekly news No.7

Rail fare increase. Biggest rise for five years.

Train fares in Britain will be increasing by an average of 3.4% from the 2nd of January. The RDG (rail delivery group) have admitted that it is a significant rise but have also said that 97% of the money will go back into improving and running the railway. I don't think they will but they are saying it to make people feel better about it and not kick up as much of a fuss.

A passenger group have said that the rise was a "chill wind" and others say that it is a "kick in the teeth". I agree with this however if the money does go into refurbishing tracks and trains then I guess it is better as we would be getting a better service.

Rail fares compared to earnings graph

Some people are saying "these fare increases are another twist of the economic knife" and others are saying "the private train companies are laughing all the way to the bank".

Overall, I don't think increasing that fares is necessary and it will annoy a lot of people however trains are such a necessity to some people that they will have to pay the increase anyway. I don't think it is fare but as I mentioned earlier if the money does actually go back into the services and not into peoples pockets then it makes the situation a little easier to digest.
