Katie Price wants Mp's to do something about online abuse after her son Harvey is a victim.

In the video she talks about wanting to go to schools and educate children on the matter of online abuse and how harmful it can be which in my opinion is really great because there has been a lot of people who have committed suicide due to being a victim of online abuse. Also I think she wants to make everyone aware that if you are a victim of this there is people to talk to about it to try and make yourself feel better and to try and solutions to try and prevent online bullying.
She has said that she is going to campaign to make online abuse a "criminal offence". Her son Harvey who is 15 years old is autistic, partially blind and has prader willi syndrome which is a genetic disorder which can include things like weak muscles and slow development.
I don't think Harvey has depression but mental health issues in the UK has increased and has said that roughly 1 in 4 people will suffer from some form of mental heath issue. For example around 120,000 people got help for mental health treatments and 20,000 of those were children.
Katie Price has said:
"They know he hasn't got a voice back and they mock him more... I just think they find him an easy target - just to pick on.
"But I'm his voice. I'm here and I am going to protect him."
She has made complaints previously to the police but nothing was able to be done due to no laws specifying what classes as legal and illegal.
Overall, I think if she can make online abuse illegal and have action taken for it then this is a step forward for everybody because a lot of people can start feeling depressed, lonely and can even lead to suicidal thoughts or even just suicide.
